Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
Servings 2 persons

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar brown or white works fine
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Optional:

  • handful of chocolate chips or chopped nuts for extra yum

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the wet stuff

  • Melt your butter in a small bowl. Add sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Stir it all together until it looks smooth and shiny. This smells amazing already.

Step 2: Add the dry stuff

  • Add the flour and a pinch of salt. Mix until the batter is all together and smooth. Throw in chocolate chips or nuts if you want that little extra surprise in every bite.

Step 3: Prep the pan

  • Use a small heat-safe dish that fits in your air fryer basket. Spray it lightly with oil or butter so the brownie does not stick. I always forget this part and regret it, trust me.

Step 4: Pour and smooth

  • Pour the batter in the 6" cake pan and smooth the top with the back of a spoon. It does not have to be perfect. Imperfect is cute.

Step 5: Air fry magic

  • Set your air fryer to 320 degrees Fahrenheit (160 Celsius) and cook for 12 to 15 minutes. Check at 12 minutes. The edges should look set but the middle still soft and fudgy. It keeps cooking a tiny bit after you take it out.

Step 6: Cool and enjoy

  • Let it cool for a few minutes if you can wait. Scoop it out, maybe add some ice cream, and enjoy. I always tell myself it is for sharing, but I always eat most of it.

Notes

Tips

  • For extra fudgy brownies, take them out a minute or two early.
  • Use silicone cups or ramekins for easy portioning.
  • You can double the recipe, but air fry in batches or increase cook time slightly.
  • Add chocolate chunks, nuts, or a swirl of peanut butter for extra flavor.

Variations

  • Vegan: Replace butter with coconut oil or vegan butter and use dairy-free chocolate.
  • Brookies: Layer cookie dough on top of the brownie batter for a brownie-cookie hybrid.
  • Mini chocolate explosion: Mix in mini chocolate chips or candy pieces.
  • Nutty: Add chopped walnuts, pecans, or almonds for crunch.
