Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or 1 lb ground chicken)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko or regular
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Olive oil spray optional

Instructions

Prep the Chicken:

  • If using chicken breasts, cut them into small nugget-sized pieces. For ground chicken, skip this step.

Prepare the Breading:

  • In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg.

Coat the Nuggets:

  • Dip each chicken piece into the egg, then coat it thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture. For extra crunch, you can dip it back into the egg and breadcrumbs again.

Air Fry:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the chicken nuggets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with olive oil if desired. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Check for Doneness:

  • Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). The nuggets should be golden brown and crispy.

Serve:

  • Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces!
