Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips plus a few extra for topping

Instructions

  • Spray a 6-inch round pan or any air fryer safe dish with nonstick spray. Line with parchment paper if you want easy lifting.
  • In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until glossy and silky.
  • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix gently until combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips and fold carefully. Sprinkle a few extra on top for melty goodness.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Set air fryer to 320°F (160°C) and bake for 15–18 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the center to check. Moist crumbs = perfect fudgy brownies.
  • Let brownies cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Cut into small squares because they are rich.

Notes

Tips

  • Bake in a 6-inch pan for perfect thickness.
  • Do not overbake to keep them fudgy.
  • Extra chocolate chips on top make them look and taste amazing.
  • Smaller portions can be frozen for quick snacks later.

Variations

  • Add chopped walnuts or pecans for a nutty twist.
  • Swirl in peanut butter or caramel before baking for extra indulgence.
  • Mix in a handful of white chocolate or butterscotch chips instead of regular chocolate chips.
  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and let them cool in the pan.
