Air Fryer Fudgy Chocolate Brownies

This air fryer brownie recipe is soft, warm, and very fudgy. It is great for busy days when my three teenagers keep asking for dessert again. The air fryer makes it fast and easy. It feels like a small sweet break in a loud house.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 18 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes
Servings 8 small squares

Ingredients

  • 1 half cup melted butter
  • 3 fourths cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 half cup cocoa powder
  • 1 half cup all purpose flour
  • 1 fourth teaspoon salt
  • 1 half cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1

  • Mix the melted butter and sugar in a bowl until it looks smooth.

Step 2

  • Add the eggs and vanilla. Stir until it looks creamy.

Step 3

  • Add the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Mix slow so the cocoa does not fly everywhere. Add chocolate chips at the end.

Step 4

  • Pour the batter into a greased small pan that fits inside your air fryer.

Step 5

  • Place the pan in the air fryer. Cook at 325 F for 14 to 18 minutes until the top looks set but the middle feels soft.

Step 6

  • Let the brownies cool for 10 minutes before cutting. This helps them stay fudgy and not fall apart.

Notes

Tips

  • Line the pan with parchment paper to make lifting the brownies easier

  • Check the brownies early because every air fryer cooks a little different
  • Cool fully if you want cleaner slices for lunch boxes

Variations

  • Add cookie dough on top to make air fryer brookies
  • Add white chocolate chips for a sweeter flavor
  • Add nuts for a little crunch
  • Swirl in peanut butter for a creamy twist
