Total Time 35 minutes
Servings 9 squares brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter or coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free flour blend
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • A small pinch of salt

Optional:

  • chocolate chips crushed nuts, or a sprinkle of sea salt on top

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the wet stuff

  • Grab a big bowl and mix your melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir till it looks smooth and shiny.

Step 2: Add the dry stuff

  • Add in cocoa powder, gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix it slowly till everything looks thick and chocolatey.

Step 3: Add the fun stuff

  • If you want extra goodness, toss in some chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or even caramel bits. I like to add a few extra on top too because why not.

Step 4: Prep your pan

  • Grease a small square pan or line it with parchment paper that fits in your air fryer basket. You do not want it to stick.

Step 5: Pour and smooth

  • Pour your batter in and spread it out evenly with a spoon or spatula. Make sure it is flat on top for even baking.

Step 6: Air fry time

  • Set your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) and bake for 16 to 18 minutes. Check around 15 minutes because every air fryer cooks a little different. The top should look set but soft in the middle.

Step 7: Cool and slice

  • Let your brownies cool down for a bit before cutting. I know it is hard to wait, but they hold together better when cool. Slice and enjoy with a scoop of ice cream if you want to spoil yourself.

Notes

Tips

  • For extra fudgy brownies, cook a little less. For cake-like brownies, add one tablespoon extra gluten-free flour.
  • Use a silicone or metal pan that fits inside your air fryer basket for even cooking.
  • Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle melted chocolate on top for dessert-night vibes.
  • Always let them cool before slicing or they might fall apart.

Variations

  • Chocolate Chip Heaven: Add white and dark chocolate chips for double flavor.
  • Nutty Crunch: Stir in walnuts or pecans for texture.
  • Salted Caramel Swirl: Drop spoonfuls of caramel on top before air frying and swirl with a knife.
  • Peanut Butter Lovers: Add a few spoonfuls of peanut butter and swirl into the batter.
  • Holiday Twist: Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top for a fun festive version.
