Instructions

Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1

    • Grab a big bowl. Pour in the brownie mix, eggs, oil, and water. Stir until everything is combined. My kids like to sneak a taste now, but try not to eat it all.

    Step 2

    • Add the mint extract. Smell it and take a deep breath because it smells amazing.

    Step 3

    • Fold in the chocolate chips. Some might stick to your spoon. Taste one if you must.

    Step 4

    • Spray a small air fryer pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour in the batter. Smooth the top a little if you want even brownies.

    Step 5

    • Place the pan in the air fryer. Set it to 330 degrees F and bake for 14 to 16 minutes. Check the middle with a toothpick. It should be soft but not liquidy.

    Step 6

    • Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top. Let the brownies cool for a few minutes before cutting.

    Notes

    Tips

    • Use silicone air fryer pans to avoid sticking.
    • Batter can be prepped ahead and stored in the fridge for a few hours.
    • Air fryer ovens vary, so check the brownies a little early.
    • Mint extract is strong. One teaspoon is usually enough.

    Variations

    • Add nuts like walnuts or pecans for a crunch.
    • Drizzle caramel or chocolate syrup on top for extra sweetness.
    • Make mini brownies using muffin cups in the air fryer.
    • Try peppermint extract with white chocolate chips for a different minty vibe.
