Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated

Optional:

  • red pepper flakes or lemon zest for extra flavor

Instructions

Step 1: Prep your sprouts

  • Trim off the ends and cut the Brussels sprouts in half. If they are big, cut them in quarters. Make sure they are dry so they get crispy.

Step 2: Mix everything

  • In a bowl, add sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix really well. Add half of the Parmesan and mix again.

Step 3: Air fry them

  • Set air fryer to 375°F. Spread sprouts in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through. Add the rest of the Parmesan in the last 2 to 3 minutes of cooking.

Step 4: Serve and snack

  • Let them cool for one minute. Then eat right away while crispy. Add lemon or red pepper if you want extra flavor.

Notes

  • Dry your sprouts after washing. Wet ones get soggy.
  • Do not pack the basket too full. Give them space.
  • Add Parmesan at the end for golden cheesy bits that are not burned.
  • Want them crispier? Turn the heat up to 390°F for the last 2 minutes.

Variations:

  • Spicy Version: Add a sprinkle of chili flakes or hot sauce.
  • Extra Garlic: Double the garlic powder or add minced garlic.
  • Lemon Kick: Grate lemon zest over them right before serving.
  • Cheese Swap: Try Asiago or Pecorino instead of Parmesan.
  • Chip Style: Slice sprouts really thin and cook a few minutes longer for Brussel Sprout Chips Air Fryer style.
