Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs room temp
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter optional

Instructions

Prepare Your Cake Pan

  • Grease a 6-inch round cake pan with butter or cooking spray and dust with flour. You can also use parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Beat Eggs & Sugar

  • In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy (about 5 minutes with a hand mixer).

Add Dry Ingredients

  • Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold everything together using a spatula.

Mix in Vanilla & Butter

  • Add vanilla extract and melted butter (if using). Fold gently to keep the batter airy.

Pour & Air Fry

  • Pour batter into the prepared pan. Set your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) and bake for 15-18 minutes. Check at 12 minutes with a toothpick—if it comes out clean, it’s done!

Cool & Serve

  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove and let cool completely on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar or top with fruit for extra yumminess!

Notes

  • Use room temp eggs for the best rise.
  • Don’t overmix—gentle folding keeps it fluffy!
  • All air fryers cook a little differently, so check early to avoid overbaking.
