Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil
  • Salt a pinch
  • Black pepper a pinch
  • 1 slice cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Crack the egg into the pan and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Cook until the egg white is set. Flip if desired for a firmer yolk.
  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  • Place cheese on the egg while hot and allow it to melt.
  • Transfer the egg onto one slice of bread.
  • Top with the second slice of bread to form a sandwich.
  • Cut in half and serve immediately.
