  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 buns
  • mayonnaise lettuce, tomato, pickles

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Cut chicken breasts into even pieces to ensure they cook evenly.
  • Make the Coating: In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Dip and Coat: Whisk eggs with milk in a separate bowl. Dip chicken into egg mixture, then coat with flour mixture.
  • Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a pan and fry chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through. Place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • Slice the Chicken: Let fried chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
  • Make the Buffalo Sauce: Melt butter and mix with hot sauce until smooth.
  • Toss the Chicken in Sauce: Add sliced chicken to the bowl and toss until fully coated with sauce.
  • Assemble the Sandwich: Spread mayonnaise on buns. Layer lettuce, saucy chicken slices, tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Rest chicken after frying for juicier slices
  • Toss in buffalo sauce only just before serving
  • Toast buns lightly for extra flavor
  • Use a sharp knife for clean slices
  • Adjust hot sauce to taste for desired spice
