Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning mix
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp melted Cajun butter optional for extra flavor
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

Prep Your Ingredients:

  • In one bowl, place flour.
  • In another, whisk the egg until smooth.
  • In a third, mix panko breadcrumbs, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Coat the Chicken:

  • Dip each tender into the flour, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture. Press breadcrumbs onto the chicken to coat thoroughly.

Preheat Air Fryer:

  • Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 3 minutes.

Cook the Chicken:

  • Arrange chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temp).

Optional Cajun Butter Drizzle:

  • Brush cooked tenders with melted Cajun butter for an extra layer of flavor.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, and pair with fries, salad, or veggies.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer—cook in batches if needed.
  • For extra crunch, double-coat tenders in the breadcrumb mixture.
