Ingredients
  

For the Shawarma Chicken:

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp coriander
  • A pinch of cayenne optional
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of ½ lemon

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large tortillas or flatbreads
  • ½ cup hummus
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt optional for creaminess
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • ½ cup tomatoes diced
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Season the Chicken:

  • In a bowl, combine shredded chicken with olive oil, lemon juice, and all spices. Mix well until chicken is evenly coated.

Prepare the Tortillas:

  • Lay out your tortillas and spread a thin layer of hummus over each one. For extra creaminess, mix in the Greek yogurt before spreading.

Add the Fillings:

  • Layer the shawarma chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion onto the tortillas.

Roll It Up:

  • Roll each tortilla tightly and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold shape.

Slice & Serve:

  • Use a sharp knife to slice into 1-inch pinwheels. Serve cold or warm (see tips for warming).
