Cold Crab Dip

This cold crab dip is creamy, soft, and full of flavor. It feels fancy but is super easy to make. Perfect for parties, snack time, or when you need a little treat that makes everyone happy. My kids call it fancy fish fluff and it disappears fast every time.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Instructions

  • In a big bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy. Keep mixing until it looks soft and fluffy.
  • Add lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is combined.
  • Gently fold in the crab meat. Keep the chunks big for every bite to feel fun and fancy.
  • Sprinkle chopped parsley and fold gently one last time.
  • Cover the bowl and put it in the fridge for at least one hour. The flavors get stronger and the texture gets creamier.
  • Serve with crackers, toasted bread, or fresh veggies. Try to resist eating it all straight from the bowl.

Notes

Tips

  • Make the dip the night before for stronger flavors.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
  • Keep crackers or veggies separate until serving to prevent sogginess.
  • Stir quickly before serving to make it look fresh again.

Variations

  • Add a little cayenne pepper or hot sauce for spice.
  • Swap parsley with chives for a different flavor.
  • Mix in a few chopped pickles for a tangy twist.
  • Use imitation crab if you cannot find fresh or canned lump crab.
