Ingredients

  • 4 bread slices
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber thin sliced
  • 1 large tomato sliced
  • 8 to 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and dry all vegetables and basil. Slice cucumber into thin rounds, slice tomato evenly, and cut mozzarella into slices.
  • Lay bread slices flat and drizzle olive oil evenly on each slice. Spread lightly to coat the surface.
  • Place mozzarella slices on two bread slices, covering most of the surface.
  • Add cucumber slices in an even layer, followed by tomato slices. Avoid stacking too thick.
  • Place basil leaves on top, tearing larger leaves for better coverage.
  • Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly across the filling.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze lightly over the top.
  • Cover with remaining bread slices and press gently to hold layers together.
  • Cut sandwich in half and serve immediately for best freshness.

Notes

  • Best served fresh to avoid soggy bread
  • Use firm, fresh vegetables for best texture
  • Adjust seasoning to taste
