Cuisine American
- 2 slices bread
- 3–4 slices deli turkey
- 1–2 slices cheese
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp mustard
- 2–3 lettuce leaves
- 2–3 tomato slices
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Place the bread slices on a clean surface. Spread mayonnaise evenly on one slice and mustard on the other slice, making sure to reach the edges.
Add the turkey slices on one piece of bread. Fold the slices gently instead of placing them flat to create a fuller texture and better bite.
Place the cheese slices over the turkey. Arrange them so the turkey is mostly covered, overlapping slightly if needed.
Add lettuce leaves on top of the cheese, then place tomato slices evenly over the lettuce. Lightly sprinkle salt and black pepper on the tomatoes for added flavor.
Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread, sauce side down. Press gently to hold the layers together.
Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich in half. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
- Use fresh bread for best taste
- Do not add too much sauce
- Pat vegetables dry to avoid soggy bread
