Crispy Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

These crispy air fryer Brussels sprouts are the perfect easy side dish for busy weeknights. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and done in under 20 minutes. Even the kids will eat them without a fight. Great with dinner or as a snack straight out of the basket.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional:

  • garlic powder onion powder, chili flakes, Parmesan, balsamic glaze

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prep the sprouts

  • Trim off the ends and peel off any loose leaves. Cut in half (or quarters if big). Pat dry really well.

Step 2: Season

  • In a bowl, toss sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any extra seasonings.

Step 3: Air fry

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Spread sprouts in one layer in the basket.
  • Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway. Add 1–2 more minutes if you want them extra crispy.

Step 4: Serve

  • Top with Parmesan or balsamic if you like. Serve hot!

Notes

Tips

  • Dry sprouts = crispy sprouts. Use a towel to soak up any water.
  • Do not crowd the basket. If you double the recipe, cook in two batches.
  • Shake or stir halfway through for even browning.

Variations

  • Cheesy: Sprinkle Parmesan after cooking.
  • Spicy: Add red chili flakes or a dash of cayenne.
  • Sweet: Drizzle with maple syrup or honey after frying.
  • Savory: Add garlic and onion powder before cooking.
  • Sprout Chips: Slice thin and cook 2–3 extra minutes for chip vibes.
