Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Rinse the chickpeas under cool running water. Drain well, then spread them onto a clean kitchen towel. Pat them dry thoroughly. Remove any loose skins if desired for better texture.
  • Transfer the dried chickpeas to a mixing bowl. Add olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss well until all chickpeas are evenly coated with oil and seasoning.
  • Spread the chickpeas onto the prepared baking tray in a single, even layer. Make sure they are not crowded to allow proper roasting.
  • Place the tray in the oven and roast for 25 to 30 minutes. About halfway through cooking, shake the tray or stir the chickpeas to ensure even browning.
  • Remove from the oven once golden and crispy. Let them cool on the tray for a few minutes to allow them to firm up and become crunchier.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm or at room temperature.

  • Drying chickpeas well is the most important step for crispiness
