Fresh Homemade Salsa

A fresh and simple homemade salsa recipe made with ripe tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and lime juice. This easy salsa dip recipe is full of bright flavor and perfect for chips, tacos, and everyday meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro finely chopped
  • 1–2 jalapeños finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced

Instructions
 

  • Wash all produce thoroughly and pat dry to remove excess moisture.
  • Chop tomatoes into small, even pieces. Remove excess seeds and liquid if needed. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  • Finely chop onion and jalapeños. Add them to the bowl with tomatoes.
  • Finely chop cilantro leaves and add to the mixture.
  • Add minced garlic, salt, and black pepper evenly over the ingredients.
  • Pour lime juice over the mixture to enhance flavor and balance acidity.
  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly using a spoon until well combined.
  • Cover and let the salsa rest at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning by adding more salt, lime juice, or jalapeños if needed. Mix again.
  • Refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes before serving for best flavor.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature.

  • Use Roma tomatoes for best texture and flavor
