Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
  • 1 cup pretzels
  • 1 cup mixed nuts
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Prepare a large baking tray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all cereals, pretzels, and nuts. Mix gently to distribute evenly without breaking pieces.
  • In a separate bowl, melt the butter fully. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt. Whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  • Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the cereal mix, pouring in sections for even coverage.
  • Gently toss the mixture using a spatula or large spoon until all pieces are evenly coated with seasoning.
  • Transfer the mixture onto a baking tray and spread into an even layer without pressing down. Use multiple trays if needed.
  • Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Each time, rotate and redistribute the mix for even baking.
  • Remove from oven and allow the mix to cool completely on the tray. This helps it become crisp.
  • Once fully cooled, transfer to an airtight container and store at room temperature.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne pepper to control spice level
  • Store in airtight container for up to one week
  • For extra crunch, bake an additional 10 minutes if needed
