Ingredients

  • 4 cups Chex cereal
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1 cup candy-coated chocolates
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Add Chex cereal, pretzels, peanuts, and candy-coated chocolates into a large mixing bowl. Gently stir to combine, making sure the ingredients are evenly distributed without breaking the cereal pieces.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and butter. Heat in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring well after each round. Continue until the mixture is fully melted, smooth, and creamy. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal mix. Pour in a steady motion around the bowl to help coat more evenly. Using a spatula, gently fold the mixture from the bottom up until most of the pieces are lightly coated.
  • Sprinkle powdered sugar over the coated mix in small amounts. After each addition, gently toss the mixture to help the sugar stick evenly. Continue until the mix has a light, even coating.
  • Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined tray in a single, even layer. Allow it to sit at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the coating has fully set and hardened.
  • Once cooled, break apart any large clusters. Transfer to an airtight container for storage or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use rice or corn Chex cereal for the best crunchy texture.
  • Melt the white chocolate slowly in short intervals to prevent burning.
  • Stir gently when mixing so the cereal pieces stay whole.
  • Add powdered sugar a little at a time for a more even coating.
  • Let the mix cool completely before storing to keep it crisp.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
  • Add fun mix-ins like mini marshmallows, dried fruit, sprinkles, or peanut butter chips for different flavors.
  • This recipe is easy to double for parties, holidays, and large gatherings.
