- 1 can (15 oz) white beans drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 to 4 tbsp water
Drain and rinse the white beans thoroughly. Allow excess water to drain off.
Add the beans to a blender or food processor along with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and oregano.
Blend on medium speed until the mixture starts to break down.
Pause and scrape down the sides to ensure even blending.
Add water one tablespoon at a time while blending to reach a smooth consistency.
Continue blending for one to two minutes until the dip is creamy and smooth.
Taste the dip and adjust seasoning as needed.
Transfer to a serving bowl and smooth the surface.
Drizzle olive oil on top and garnish if desired.
Chill for twenty to thirty minutes for improved flavor, if time allows.
